Tushar Telmasre, a Materials Science & Engineering graduate student, received two awards for his work and presentations during this fall's 248th Electrochemical Society Meeting, held in Chicago, Illinois in October.

He was selected for a Presentation Award based on his presentation, "Replacing Fick’s Law with Phase Field Models for Intercalation: Are Pulsed Profiles Truly the Optimized Profiles When Dealing with a Phase Change Material Electrode?”

He was also awarded the Industrial Electrochemistry & Electrochemical Engineering Division Ralph E. White Outstanding Student Award, which recognizes "promising young engineers and scientists in the field of modeling and simulation of electrochemical systems and encourage recipients to continue careers in electrochemical engineering or applied electrochemistry." He will be recognized during the 249th ECS Meeting this spring.

Tushar is a graduate student in the M.A.P.L.E Lab and is advised by Dr. Venkat Subramanian. Congratulations, Tushar!
