MS&E Ph.D. Candidate Michael Asoro Awarded GEMS Diamond Award

Michael Asoro, a Ph.D candidate working under the joint supervisions of Drs. Ferreira and Kovar, was recently awarded the Graduate Excellence in Materials Science (GEMS) Diamond Award by hhe Basic Science Division of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS). This award was given to the top three graduate student oral presentations at the Materials Science & Technology (MS&T) 2011 conference, Columbus, OH. The title of Asoro’s talk was “In-situ TEM Observation of Solid to Vapor Phase Transitions in Silver Nanoparticles”.
