zixuan li posterTexas Materials Institute and the Materials Science and Engineering Program are proud to announce that Ph.D. candidate, Zixuan Li, was awarded second place in the Graduate Poster Category at the STLE Tribology Frontiers Conference (TFC) in Chicago this past week for his poster titled: In Situ Study of the Lubrication Mechanism of Phosphonium Phosphate Ionic Liquid in Nanoscale Single-Asperity Sliding Contacts.

The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) is an international professional membership association dedicated to the study of interacting moving surfaces. Improving the performance of equipment and products, conserving resources and protecting the environment through tribological advances is the mission of the society. Their Tribology Frontiers Conference (TFC) is focused on the role tribology plays as the interface of physics, chemistry, materials science and mechanical engineering.

Please help us to congratulate Zixuan on his accomplishment! You can read the full press release from STLE here. In addition, Zixuan is part of the Mangolini Research Group here at TMI. You can learn more about his research within the group here.
