TMI Director, Dr. Arumugam Manthiram, was recently awarded with multiple honors that showcase his dedication to cutting-edge materials education and research.
He has been elected as a member of the World Academy of Ceramics (WAC). The WAC constitutes a centre for the International Community directed towards promoting progress in the field of ceramics and fostering a better understanding of the social impact and cultural interactions of ceramics science, technology, history and art.
In addition, he received the Henry B. Linford Award for Distinguished Teaching from the Electrochemical Society. This award was established in 1981 for excellence in teaching in subject areas of interest to the Society.
Most recently he was awarded Honorary Mechanical Engineer at the UT Austin Mechanical Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony.
